

I am one day past the 48 hour cancelation deadline. I got charged 276 dollars, and had nowhere to stay. I asked the host the fix the situation, only robotic answers, no intention to help. I then said "I will deal with this issue, I am charged 276 dollars that I have no idea if I will get back, I will go and stay at the Airbnb", the host said, I cannot stay there anymore. Then I reached out to the host and airbnb, reporting this, I got no help or refund. In the end, the Airbnb system advised me to get the host to cancel to get a full refund, once I landed it was too late to cancel with the 100 dollars cancellation fee, when I cancelled I got charged the full price of 276 dollars. I was on the flight replying to messages and reporting the issue on a complimentary in-flight WIFI the whole time.

He/she replies back with a robotic answer saying, I won't get a discount. I describe the situation with a screenshot of the price and asking for a cancellation with the full refund. The company managing the property is called Sova and someone called Alex is messaging me with robotic answers. Airbnb advised, they will contact the host and get back to me, they never did get back to me about the contact with the host. She on the phone asked me to message the host and she said she will contact the host and get back to me, she never did. This is a commercial company managing the property. When I landed, I called the emergency number they provided, the lady on the phone had no idea about the host.
